Job summary

Apple's Workload Identity team within the ASE Security organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer and technical lead to drive secure identity practices for large-scale workloads. You will shape minimum security requirements and mentor teams to embed secure design in development processes.

The role focuses on building security services and addressing identity challenges at scale, ensuring robust authentication and authorization across applications and cloud resources in Cupertino.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development or production operations experience in a large-scale environment.
• 5+ years writing production Go code for Go-based applications.
• Proven experience building and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of OS concepts including multithreading, memory, networking and storage.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization.
• Knowledge of securing APIs (RESTful and gRPC) including input validation, authentication and authorization.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Define, advocate, and drive the adoption of a standardized set of minimum security requirements.
• Monitor progress and influence the future of security protocols across engineering teams.
• Guide engineering teams to incorporate secure practices and tools into development processes.
• Create fundamental security services and address identity challenges at large scale.
