Job summary

SSCI, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a software engineer to conduct coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting under supervision, supporting a team's software development objectives.

The candidate should have 4+ years of software engineering experience, familiarity with C/C++, Python, and potentially Java or Rust, and be eligible for US DoD security clearance. Hybrid work and extensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of progressive software engineering experience in AI for Robotics, ML, or autonomous systems software.
• Experience with modern software development tool chains and processes.
• Experience with C/C++, Python, and/or Java/Rust or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain software documentation for code clarity.
• Develop software applications based on defined requirements and create complex software at the class and application level.
• Test, debug, and troubleshoot to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate technical concepts and project results to stakeholders and management.
• Stay current with industry trends in software engineering and robotics domains.
