Job summary

Nelnet Business Services (NBS), a division of Nelnet, Inc., seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join FACTS Financial Aid Management. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate customer needs into new features in a .NET/Angular stack, and mentor teammates to ensure code quality and best practices across global resources.

The role emphasizes strong technical ability, problem-solving, and effective communication with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in .NET stack and Angular preferred.
• AI experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Researches, designs, implements and manages software applications.
• Partners with Product and Engineering team to define requirements.
• Write, test, and implement efficient code.
• Review and provide feedback on pull requests.
• Use AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow.
• Coach and mentor other team members.
