Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Aguadilla, PR, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead cross-functional teams in the full software lifecycle. The role blends architecture, design, integration, testing, and field support within a hybrid work model requiring three days onsite and two remote weeks as scheduled by management.

You will work with JavaScript, C++, and Python, emphasizing collaboration across disciplines, agile practices, and SI recognition. A STEM degree and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience working in various phases of the software development lifecycle using Javascript, C++, and Python
• Experience with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment that requires communication with other engineering disciplines, Program, and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

The Strategic Defense Solutions portfolio at our Collins Global Engineering & Technology Center has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
