Job summary

Alignment Health in Orange County, CA is seeking an experienced senior .NET software engineer to help build enterprise web applications for care delivery.

You will collaborate with product teams, clinicians and designers to design, implement, test and deploy features across the Pathfinder platform, ensuring quality and performance.

The role focuses on scalable architecture, secure coding, CI/CD automation, and mentoring teammates in a fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare technology company.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • 5+ years leveraging C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and ASP.NET Web API and modern frontend frameworks, including React.
  • 5+ years’ experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
  • 3+ years of experience with Web Services lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy), API versioning and design approaches, tools, interoperability, and SOA concepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design and access approaches.
  • Education/Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Other Relevant Industry certifications, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise on system architecture, design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operation of enterprise level software applications.
  • Work directly with product management and your team while analyzing and decomposing complex software requirements into simple stories for planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with your team to manage and estimate the size and complexity of the features; perform technical design, implementation, and testing of features and commit to stories that can be accomplished in an iteration.
  • Be the technical leader for product features, responsible for ensuring development activities are coordinated throughout the development cycle.
  • Own system and feature quality throughout development, testing and deployment phases to ensure quality delivery expectations are met.
  • Drive value and build to continuously improve the quality of the team’s deliverables.
  • Conduct new technology research, proof of concept, and design work that will provide direction for the enhancement of the overall system and products.
  • Contribute to software engineering best practices for design, coding standards, performance, security, delivery, and maintainability.

We are seeking to add advanced .NET software developers with a high level of experience, and who have shown an extreme ability to learn advanced technologies. The products and services that we develop will enable next generation care delivery models for seniors.

We are looking for a talented engineer to execute amazing web app experiences for our users. The ideal candidate will enjoy working alongside other engineers, designers, users, and clinicians, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our Pathfinder platform.

General Duties/Responsibilities (May Include But Are Not Limited To)

Minimum Experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience in software development

  • Education/Licensure:

  • Additional training or education is a plus.
  • Other Relevant Industry certifications, such on Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Other
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience designing, creating, testing, and consuming REST APIs with a focus on security and performance.
  • Ability to develop unit tests and effectively automate test execution.

Preferred

  • Healthcare domain software development experience.
  • Hands on experience developing, delivering, and supporting publicly facing web applications.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) best practices.
  • Experience developing with .NET Core.
  • Experience with scrum methodology.
  • Understanding of common design patterns and appropriate usage

Pay Range: $130,332.00 - $195,498.00

Pay range may be based on a number of factors including market location, education, responsibilities, experience, etc.
