Job summary

SiTime Corp. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to independently design, develop, and maintain software for semiconductor test systems and engineering infrastructure.

This role blends software engineering fundamentals with hands-on hardware integration and debugging, turning ambiguous requirements into reliable, maintainable software. The ideal candidate will own software architecture, collaborate across hardware teams, and travel internationally for production support.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated capability.
• Ownership of software systems including architecture, implementation, and ongoing support.
• Strong programming in Python and at least one of C, C++, or C#. Reading schematics and hardware interfaces valued.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software components and systems.
• Design modular interfaces for instruments, embedded controllers, and hardware configurations.
• Build and improve automated test applications for engineering labs and manufacturing.
• Diagnose HW-SW issues using code, logs, measurements, and test equipment.
• Design for concurrency, data integrity, and testability.
• Collaborate with hardware, validation, and manufacturing engineers across sites.
• Improve code quality via reviews, tests, and CI/CD practices.
