Job summary

Pantheon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Connectivity & API Transformation team. You will help expand a federated GraphQL API powering Pantheon’s platform used by thousands of websites and developers.

You will design and operate scale-out workflows, decompose legacy systems, and own production systems with a focus on reliability, observability, and on-call responsiveness. Remote work options are available in the United States.

Qualifications

• Significant production experience building and operating services in Go and other languages in a polyglot stack.
• Experience designing APIs consumed by multiple teams, with attention to schema versioning and compatibility.
• Strong background in large-scale distributed systems and cloud networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve Pantheon's unified API — GraphQL supergraph and supporting Go subgraphs.
• Shape service discovery, network architecture, and connectivity standards across the platform.
• Decompose legacy monoliths into bounded services and own the data layer and reliability.
