Job summary

A fully remote SaaS startup is seeking a backend engineer to design and ship Golang services. You will build solutions on AWS and own event-driven pipelines, contributing to a critical project from the ground up. Ideal candidates will have 3–6 years experience, fluency in Golang, and a background in startup environments. This position offers flexibility in a well-funded company with excellent benefits.

Overview

Fully remote SaaS startup building a new project from the ground up. You’ll be the driver on a critical set of backend services, working with autonomy and end-to-end ownership.

This Jobot job is hosted by Grant Greenhalgh. Salary range provided by Jobot: $135,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr. Final pay will be based on skills and experience.

What you’ll do

• Design and ship Golang services
• Build on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch) with IaC and CI/CD
• Own event-driven pipelines for telemetry, schedules, and user automations
• Model data in PostgreSQL + Redis
• Raise the bar on observability and security

What we're looking for

• 3–6 years of experience working on SaaS products
• Proven backend fluency with Golang
• Well-versed with AWS services and Infrastructure
• Past startup experience, ideally owning projects with a lean team
• Comfort working remotely with self-direction as needed
