United States Digital Space LLC is hiring for a role in a globally distributed, large-scale key-value store. You will own and support the full stack—from code and tests to deployment, rollback plans, operations, monitoring, and on-call.

The stack is written in Go and C, and the work involves solving very challenging bugs at scale. Expect to work on Go-based features, performance optimization, and robust debugging.

Qualifications

• Experience writing robust systems with a focus on performance and technical debt.
• Proven experience with storage systems, peer-to-peer and large-scale distributed software.
• Ability to chase problems across multiple layers of software stacks and propose simple, smart designs.

Responsibilities

• Write new features in Go for the distributed key-value store.
• Improve performance, CPU and memory efficiency across the stack.
• Enhance monitoring and tooling, all built with Go.
• Assist with debugging and resolving hard-to-reproduce issues.
