Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking a software engineer with strong ownership and a passion for delivering large-scale solutions to support seller growth internationally. You will join early in a fast-growing business and help build technology for internal and external selling partner experiences at worldwide scale.

The role requires 5+ years of software development experience, leadership or mentoring capabilities, and a track record of designing scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive solutions spanning the full software lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance strategies.
• Drive engineering excellence by establishing best practices, conducting thorough code reviews, and mentoring team members while ensuring operational excellence through proper monitoring, alarms, and runbook processes.
• Analyze complex business requirements and technical constraints to build elegant solutions that simplify existing systems while enabling future innovation for internal and external selling partner experiences.
