Job summary

Justworks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Workforce Payments to own the core computation layer powering payroll, money movement, and tax calculation. You will lead technical decisions and drive initiatives to scale tax and money movement capabilities, ensuring the integrity of the financial ledger and robust payroll data interfaces.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to reliability, performance, and security across the platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of professional hands-on experience.
• Proficiency with SQL.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure management, preferably AWS.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and acting as a “force multiplier”.
• Experience working closely with designers and product managers.

• Independently own large-scoped projects from discovery through launch with a focus on outcomes and customer impact.
• Collaborate with a cross functional team to find solutions to customer challenges.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our existing systems.
