Job summary

Kastel Group in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver core services behind our global logistics platform. You will build scalable microservices using Scala, Kubernetes, and AWS, and work with cross-functional teams to handle millions of transactions.

This role reports to the Engineering Manager and follows a hybrid policy with 2 days in the office weekly. You will push for technical excellence, robust testing, and rapid, safe releases through CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building large-scale, customer-facing applications.
• Proficient in distributed systems design and high-traffic architectures.
• Strong engineering practices and fast release cycles.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of core logistics platform services.
• Define architecture for scalable, reliable microservices.
• Champion clean code, testing, and robust tooling.
• Support exponential growth with infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure high availability and meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with product managers and other teams.
• Contribute Scala code and mentor juniors.
