C.H. Robinson is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Global Forwarding team to design and deliver scalable solutions that modernize freight planning, pricing, booking and execution.

You’ll lead technical decisions, mentor engineers, and drive enterprise AI initiatives across multiple product areas. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing and implementing commercial software.
• Strong experience in object-oriented environments (C#, .NET).
• Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, services and integrations across domains.
• Relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle) design and optimization.
• Non-relational databases and modern data storage patterns.
• HTTP, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Unit, integration, acceptance, and automated testing strategies.
• Version control (Git, GitHub, TFS).
• CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Ability to translate complex business processes into scalable technical solutions.
• Technical leadership and architecture influence without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable software solutions that modernize and automate workflows across Global Forwarding.
• Translate business problems into durable technical solutions spanning pricing, booking, shipment planning and execution.
• Design and build AI-enabled and agentic solutions to automate knowledge work and support complex decisions.
• Develop patterns for enterprise AI with evaluation, observability, security, and governance.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and product areas.
• Mentor engineers through architecture discussions, reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing.
