Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers to advance next-generation AI features and large-scale information retrieval systems. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software across projects with emphasis on AI Mode responses and Gemini model collaboration.

You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while contributing to architecture, performance, and quality. This role supports Google Search’s mission to expand access and utility for billions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development in one or more languages.
• 3 years testing/maintaining/launching software products; 1 year software design/architecture.
• 3 years ML infrastructure experience (deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging).
• 3 years statistical modeling, data mining, and data analysis.
• 1 year GenAI techniques or GenAI concepts experience.

Job description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.


• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.


• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.


• 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).


• 3 years of experience in statistical modeling, data mining, and data analysis.


• 1 year of experience with state of the art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.


• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.


• Experience in performance analysis and benchmarking to ensure adherence to defined quality standards.


• Experience with AI/ML techniques including Large Language Models, Information Retrieval, Image Retrieval, Search Quality etc.


• Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot large scale distributed systems.


• A growth mindset with excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
