Job Description: Software Engineer - Generative AI

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer with expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and a passion for Generative AI technology to build next-generation software platforms.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop systems and tools to facilitate Generative AI integration using the C3 AI Platform.
2. Build scalable, end-to-end machine learning pipelines across distributed hardware.
3. Collaborate with data scientists to implement the latest approaches in training and fine-tuning Generative Models.
4. Contribute to the long-term development of the C3 Generative AI Suite with product teams.
5. Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MS preferred.
2. Proficiency in Python; experience with Java and JavaScript is a plus.
3. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms.
4. Deep understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
5. Experience deploying machine learning models in production.
6. Proven ownership of projects from start to finish.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Interest and experience in Generative AI technologies (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, ChatGPT Plugins).
9. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
2. Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
3. Over 5 years of industry experience.

C3 AI offers competitive benefits, compensation, and equity. The California base pay range is $145,000—$187,000 USD.
