Job summary

Liberty Mutual is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Auto Physical Damage (APD) squad within the Claims Predictive Modeling domain. You will deploy predictive models as production microservices, build feature pipelines, and own the integration with enterprise claims platforms.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup with two days in the office weekly across Boston, Plano, Portsmouth, Indianapolis, or Columbus, collaborating closely with data scientists, product owners, and fellow engineers.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for microservice development.
• Experience building on AWS — Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, and RDS/MySQL; ideally with AWS CDK.

Responsibilities

• Model operationalization: deploy models as production microservices and build feature pipelines.
• Integration engineering: event-driven and API-based integrations between predictive services and enterprise claims platforms.
• GenAI enablement: operationalize generative AI use cases in claims space with evaluation frameworks.
