Job summary

Elite Hockey HQ is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and ship full-stack features for a platform powering adaptive training, skill video, readiness tracking, and team management for hockey players, coaches, and organizations.

You will collaborate with product and design, improve performance and reliability, and mentor peers in a small, dynamic team. This role emphasizes end-to-end ownership of features and strong fundamentals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language and one modern frontend framework.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs, and working with relational databases.
• Track record of owning features end-to-end, from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: testing, version control, CI/CD, and code review practices.
• Comfortable working in a small team where you'll wear multiple hats.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features across the training platform, from athlete-facing tools to team management dashboards.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable code.
• Improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of existing systems as usage grows.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure product quality.
• Mentor other engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team.
