Job summary

Elite Hockey HQ is seeking an AI Engineer to build and improve the intelligent systems behind our training platform, including the AI Coaching Assistant and Adaptive Training Engine that personalize workouts based on athlete readiness signals.

You will design, deploy ML models, maintain data pipelines, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate training logic into scalable AI-driven features across the season.

Qualifications

• Professional experience building and deploying machine learning or AI systems in production.
• Strong programming skills in Python or a similar language used in ML engineering.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Experience working with APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, and code review.
• Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly with cross-functional teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning and AI models powering personalized training features.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to process athlete inputs such as readiness, workload, and biometric signals.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate training and recovery logic into scalable AI-driven features.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party AI models and APIs (e.g., LLMs) where appropriate.
• Monitor model performance in production and iterate based on data and user feedback.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to engineering best practices.
