Job summary

Red Ventures' RV EDU division seeks a Senior Software Engineer to drive full-stack features, collaborating with product and design teams. You’ll own services from design through deployment, with emphasis on fast, accessible user interfaces and scalable backend APIs.

Hybrid work model in Puerto Rico with some remote opportunities. You will work across the stack, shipping impactful features, improving design systems, and contributing to DevOps practices using AWS tools.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience in modern web development.
• Solid experience building full-stack applications using React, Next.js, TS, Tailwind, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs and AWS.
• Strong understanding of front-end architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with IaC and CI/CD and cloud environments; not required to lead these efforts.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver full-stack features that drive real impact for students, using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS services.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to develop fast, accessible user interfaces.
• Build backend APIs and data flows to support rich UI functionality and performance.
• Own systems from design to deployment, including observability, testing, and performance.
• Improve front-end architecture, design system, and shared components for scale.
• Work in a modern DevOps environment using AWS CDK or Terraform where appropriate.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring to raise team standards.
• Continuously learn, iterate, and bring new ideas to improve developer and user experience.
