Summit Staffing Partners, on behalf of a Downtown Manhattan client, seeks a Senior Software Engineer for a hybrid role in NYC. You will contribute to new development, enhance existing applications, and work with business users across the organization to deliver robust tech solutions.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on OO programming with Python/Java, strong SQL skills, and the ability to own projects from design through deployment in a collaborative financial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on software engineering and full-stack development experience.
• Strong Python/Java OO language experience.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications using Python, Java, or comparable object-oriented languages.
• Work extensively with SQL, relational databases, and data-driven applications.
• Collaborate with other engineers on complex development projects and broader tech initiatives.
• Design, develop, and support full-stack applications used throughout the firm.
• Build new features while enhancing an established technology platform.
• Partner with business users to understand requirements and translate them into solutions.
• Own projects from analysis through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
