About the Team:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a key position on Walmart’s Post Transactions team under the eCommerce experience. Post Transactions is key to the success of order fulfillment journey that powers Walmart’s order amendments and order details. We deal with edit quantity and edit Payments, address, etc. In this role, you will develop highly scalable services to process millions of requests per day and solve complex software engineering problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology.
What You’ll Do:

  • Take the lead on problems related to scale & monetization.
  • Leveraging your experience of designing and building large scale distributed systems, solving problems related to scale and have experience with process huge amounts of data.
  • Provides support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies).
  • Research and identify needed solutions; determining implementation designs; providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems; identifying short- and long-term solutions; and directing users to appropriate contacts for issues outside of associate's domain.
  • Manages small to large-sized complex projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; researching and identifying alternative solutions; determining needed solution based on return on investment and value add to the business; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames);
  • Write and develop code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; identifying areas of opportunity; interpreting information and identifying a solution; ensuring solution is sustainable across implementation and use.
  • Troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.
  • Participates in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 4+ years of working experience in Native Android App development. Experience with Kotlin, Jetpack libraries (Compose, ViewModel, Coroutines/Flow, Room), and MVVM/Clean Architecture patterns aligned with Google's Android best practices.
  • 3+ years of working experience in Cloud Components and Architecture.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and be able to articulate complex technical concepts in an approachable way for broad audiences.
  • Demonstrated high level design of systems.
  • Solid experience in large scale distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
  • Have designed, built, and maintained APIs, services of highly scalable platforms.
  • Have experience with Kafka or other high volume-low latency messaging infrastructure.
  • Have experience with Azure Cloud Stack or other cloud stacks.
  • Have extensive knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns, and micro-service architecture. Familiarity with CI/CD and unit testing.
