Our Alerts team focuses on observability of distributed systems, a vital and evolving field. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to shaping the future of our alerting products, building new features, APIs, and data models to enhance our customer experience.

What You'll Do

1. Collaborate with your team using agile practices to deliver software with frequent customer feedback.
2. Develop and enhance customer-facing UIs and APIs that interact with high-throughput streaming systems.
3. Work closely with product management, design, and engineering teams.
4. Deploy code multiple times per day to production environments.
5. Ensure the reliability and security of your team's software.
6. Contribute to UI, GraphQL, TypeScript features, and backend systems in Java/Kotlin, maintaining standards across services and databases.
7. Adopt a DevOps mindset, including on-call responsibilities and alert policy management.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years experience with React, CSS, and Java.
• Customer-focused mindset with experience building scalable production services and APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
• Strong attention to detail, code quality, and team collaboration skills.
• Focus on systems beyond applications.

Preferred Skills

• GraphQL, TypeScript, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, stream processing, distributed systems, Ruby/Rails.
