We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of how data is analyzed and understood by our customers. In this role, you will work across the full stack, building scalable, high-performance software that delivers real value to our users. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers, driving technical excellence, architecting solutions, and influencing critical product decisions.

Your Impact

• Apply your technical expertise and judgment to translate ideas, wireframes, and detailed designs into high-impact software solutions
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and performant
• Collaborate in design and code reviews, setting a high bar for quality and best practices
• Triage, investigate, and resolve complex issues involving distributed systems and third-party providers
• Influence foundational technical decisions and drive improvements in architecture, security, and reliability
• Embrace an experimental and data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making
• Understand and directly advance Highlight’s mission through your contributions

About You

• 5+ years of experience building web applications
• Strong proficiency in multiple technologies in our stack: React, TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET, PostgreSQL
• Experience working on product-focused teams with end-to-end ownership
• A strong product mindset—you care deeply about user experience and delivering real value
• A proactive problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and open-ended challenges
• Strong collaboration skills—you mentor, learn, and contribute in a team-oriented environment
• Bonus points for experience with: CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Terraform) and Production system operations (AWS, Kubernetes, observability platforms like DataDog)
