At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

As the Partners Experience team, we build and maintain product experiences and capabilities for Web Designers and Developers (WDD). We are looking for a motivated software engineer to join us in our journey to build and scale our experience capabilities which deliver world-class tools for AI site creation and optimization. Join us to build a platform with the best engineering practices that offer beautiful, high-quality experiences for our customers!

We're building an AI-powered site designer and optimization engine that simplifies site creation while maximizing business impact. Users can describe their idea in plain language and receive a fully designed website tailored to their brand, and goals. We’re not stopping at launch. We provide AI powered recommendations for layout tweaks, content improvements, and SEO enhancements to help sites perform better over time. We’re assembling a team of engineers, designers, and AI thinkers to craft the future of small business online presence.

What you'll get to do...

• Work with product management team improving the user interface and workflows within the application and providing new capabilities
• Maintain the existing application stack that makes up AI site designer, AI site optimizer, and onboarding products
• Help improve processes within the team to work with more agility
• Improve the observability of our production services, allowing the team to quickly highlight gaps, resolve issues, and understand the performance of our systems
• Lead by example with a high standard for coding practices, including practical coding standards, modern software development approaches, test automation, and a strong focus on security
• Engage with engineers and partners across the organization to solve problems with broad impact, stay ahead of the curve with new technologies, and advocate for modern and effective tech stacks

Your experience should include...

• Proficient in at least one of the technologies: PHP, NodeJS (Typescript), React, Java, and willing to work across technologies
• 6+ years of demonstrated ability in software development
• Working with AWS and understanding how to deploy applications to cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of building fault-tolerant systems (observability practices, operational perfection
• Working with high traffic systems that are mission critical to business
• Exposure to containerisation using technologies such as Docker or AWS ECS
• Good understanding of agile principles

You might also have...

• Experience with AI prompt scaling and optimization
• Experience with BFF (backend for frontend)
• Knowledge of principles for high-performance design, concurrency and threading
• Attitude of experimentation: solve new challenges' step by step to meet customer needs
