Job summary

Wonder in New York is seeking an experienced Senior Web Engineer to design, implement, and deliver sophisticated features for our food-delivery platform. Youll work closely with designers, product owners, and engineers to translate business requirements into robust software solutions.

The role requires strong React/JS skills, a solid CS foundation, and experience with CI/CD, testing pyramids, and performance optimization. A collaborative, agile environment is offered with equity considerations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development experience.
• 2+ years of practical React web product development.
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, CSS, and Git.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Strong foundation in CS, design patterns, testing pyramids, and CI/CD.
• Able to learn quickly and teach others.
• Experience with app performance and debugging.

What You Bring to the Table

• - 5+ years of experience in web development.


• - 2+ years of practical experience in React Web product development.


• - Experience with JavaScript, Typescript, React, CSS, and Git.


• - Experience working closely with multiple stakeholders from product, design, and other engineering teams.


• - Deep understanding of software development best practices and design patterns, testing pyramids, and CI/CD.


• - Not afraid to jump into a task with zero knowledge and figure out how something works.


• - You have a history of building software with teams. You enjoy brainstorming solutions and communicating technical ideas and issues with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• - An understanding of best practices for security, networking, concurrency, and UI development.


• - An ability to not just complete the task but also teach others to do this.


• - Experience and a good understanding of app performance and debugging techniques.


• - Strong computer science fundamentals from a college degree in Computer Science, a related field of study, or equivalent experience.


• - Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

New York Base Salary: $176,000-$183,500.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
