Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

We're looking for a full-time Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) to join us in our mission of bringing the ion Factory OS to next-generation hardware builders around the globe. Our newest recruit will join the First Resonance team full-time in Los Angeles, CA (HQ in Downtown) and become foundational members of the First Resonance product team.

Responsibilities & Duties

1. Translate product specifications, designs, and wireframes into high-quality code
2. Develop well-tested, GraphQL mutations and queries to expose the underlying data models
3. Develop well-tested, user-facing features using React
4. Architect and implement reusable React components and JavaScript libraries
5. Optimize components for maximum performance across devices and browsers
6. Conduct code reviews
7. Document software architecture, best practices, commonly used patterns, etc.
8. Lead developers by clarifying, blocking, and tackling product and engineering requirements
9. Maintain a high-quality UX using innovative real-time and performance technologies

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

1. 5+ years of relevant technical experience
2. Strong proficiency with React, JavaScript, TypeScript
3. Experience developing and consuming GraphQL APIs
4. Thorough understanding of React and its core principles
5. Experience with popular React state management workflows
6. Experience with unit testing, integration and e2e test frameworks (e.g. Jest, Cypress, CodeceptJS)
7. Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.)
8. Experience with version control via Git/GitHub
9. Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token (JWT)
10. Experience in SaaS and multi-tenant environments

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

1. Experience using and contributing to UI design systems
2. Experience using Apollo Client or Urql
3. Has built production-grade software systems used by others
4. Experience working with product design and UI/UX experts
5. Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools
6. Experience building enterprise applications
7. Experience with advanced architecture (e.g. micro-frontends)

Pay Range

$145,000—$175,000 USD
