Job summary

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field.
- 5+ years of industry experience navigating complex systems with distributed ownership.
- Experience with C++ or related structured programming language.
- Curious, investigative mindset with a bias towards action.
- Strong ability to dive into new problems and codebases.
- Experience working with non-technical cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement measures to increase efficiency and reduce cost of Fleet Response operations.
- Partner with other Waymo teams to optimize their operational workload.
- Generate and research ideas for new optimizations of operator tasks.
- Collaborate with onboard engineering teams to sunset unnecessary work.
- Contribute to cross-functional analysis and optimization efforts.
- Improve regression-detection and culprit-finding for changes affecting metrics.
