Sinopec Houston Tech in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Finite Element Software Engineer to develop 3D FEM software that couples solid mechanics and fluid flow for subsurface modeling.
You will work with geoscientists and engineers to implement numerical methods, optimize for HPC, and help create GUI and preprocessing tools in Windows and Linux environments.
Candidates should have Fortran or Python expertise and 5+ years in FEM software, with legal work eligibility in the United States.
Job Title: Senior Finite Element Software Engineer
Sinopec Houston Tech has an immediate opening for a Senior Finite Element Software Engineer. This position will be responsible for developing 3D finite element method (FEM) software that fully couples solid mechanics and fluid flow. The software will be used to simulate subsurface stresses and deformations for Earth modeling, geomechanics analysis, in-situ stresses, hydraulic fracturing, and reservoir simulation. The developer will work closely with geoscientists and engineers to create FEM software to support Sinopec’s upstream projects.
