Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and evolve our field operations platform. You will work across the stack—React web, React Native iOS/Android, and Python/Django backend—on AWS with PostgreSQL.

You’ll ship features that are reliable and perform well in real-world, connectivity-challenged construction environments. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver high-quality software, mentor peers, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python with backend/API experience.
• Experience with Django or similar Python web framework.
• Experience building web applications with React.
• Experience building mobile apps with React Native (iOS/Android).
• Relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern workflows.
• Strong communication and code quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the full stack (React web, React Native apps, Python/Django backend).
• Design and implement REST APIs documented, tested, and resilient to intermittent connectivity.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical plans.
• Write clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions for new systems and features.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in on-call rotations and own production issues.
• Improve development workflows, tooling, and processes.
