Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build distributed cloud systems powering field operations. You will work on full-stack development, APIs, and data pipelines with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation. You will mentor engineers and participate in on-call rotations.

The role emphasizes autonomy, architectural leadership, and delivering features from design to deployment in an agile team, contributing to AWS scale and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement for field sales operations.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines that synchronize account data across systems at scale.
• Drive technical strategy to improve data quality and coverage.
• Build APIs and services that encode operational best practices and reduce manual toil for the field organization.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design through deployment, operating in an agile environment with high autonomy.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and raise the engineering bar across the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
