Amazon Web Services (AWS) DynamoDB team is seeking a deeply technical software development engineer to own end-to-end infrastructure features at scale. You will design, build, and operate distributed systems, write production-grade Python and Java, and mentor teammates.

You will collaborate across teams, own on-call duties, and drive reliability improvements while shipping weekly. This role demands strong coding, systems thinking, and passion for cloud-scale challenges.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of reliable, scalable systems.
• 1+ years designing multi-tier, distributed software and services.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, C++ or similar).
• Strong OO design skills and fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of key DynamoDB infrastructure features.
• Design, implement, test, deploy, and operate distributed systems at scale.
• Collaborate across teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and review code.
• Ship code weekly with high standards for testing and reliability.
