Job summary

Amazon’s ENA Express team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design and own features across the full ENA Express software stack, from firmware on Nitro-Card to user-space libraries and control-plane components. You will work on high-ownership code running on millions of EC2 instances, supporting latency-critical workloads.

We value collaboration with hardware and platform teams, mentorship of engineers, and a focus on observability and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Background in systems programming (C / C++) in performance-critical, production environments.
• Experience with Linux and Networking protocols, or related protocols and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features across the AWS Networking software stack on Nitro Cards.
• Deep-dive into ENA Express and SRD to optimize packet delivery and latency.
• Collaborate with hardware/firmware partners to define software/hardware interfaces.
