Job summary

Google is seeking a software engineer in Sunnyvale, CA, to develop and maintain large-scale systems. You will contribute across the full stack, from low-level code to architecture decisions, enabling robust AI/infrastructure platforms.

You will design, test, deploy, and optimize software delivering high reliability and performance for billions of users and Google Cloud customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in low level systems programming (C/C++).
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 1 year in design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with embedded operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback on best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and update it with product changes.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve impacts on hardware, network or service quality.
• Participate in or lead design reviews to decide among available technologies.

• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
