Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle seeks a senior software engineer to join the EBS Performance team and tackle high-performance C++ software challenges.

You will work to reduce latency and improve IO performance for EC2 storage at massive scale. You will collaborate across AWS teams to design, implement, and monitor systems, with opportunities to influence roadmaps and mentor others in a diverse, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• You will work with a high performance C++ software stack to reduce latency measured at microsecond scale.
• You will design and solve for performance, availability and scalability problems.
• You will have opportunities to develop software on the latest platforms and drive the roadmap for the next generation.
