Pearl is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Drupal) for a fully remote role. You will join a large engineering organization to design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications with a focus on scalability and reliability.

The role requires ownership of the Drupal platform, upgrades, security, and collaboration with Product, Design, and Data teams. Backend work with C#/.NET Core and front-end work with React/TypeScript is expected, along with strong testing and code reviews.

Formación

• Drupal expertise with hands-on experience and at least one major-version upgrade in recent years.
• 2+ years of PHP development experience, preferably with Drupal customization, modules, and maintenance.
• 6+ years of development experience with backend C#, .NET Core and RESTful APIs; ideally in startup or scale-up environments.
• 5+ years of frontend experience with React, Redux, and TypeScript would be a plus.
• Experience leveraging AI/LLMs for test generation, code interpretation, data analysis and automation.

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Drupal)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience with a passion in designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications to ensure high performance and scalability. You will collaborate with a high-performing engineering team to design and deliver performant, scalable, and high-quality solutions. What You'll Do

• Own and maintain the Drupal platform, including upgrades, security updates, troubleshooting, and ongoing support as needed.
• Design, implement, and scale backend services in C#, .NET Core and front-end applications with React, Redux, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Design and evolve highly scalable, reliable systems for high-traffic environments with strong observability and extensibility.
• Use coding assistant tools like Cursor, Claude and GitHub Copilot etc and creating AI agents that use latest LLM Models.
• AI Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design teams on AI/ML-powered features and translate insights into product development.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, contributing to incident response and overall system resilience.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data from discovery through launch to deliver impactful features.
• Build and maintain thorough unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, embedding quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Lead and participate in code and design reviews to foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Drupal, including at least one major-version upgrade in recent years. Experience upgrading to Drupal 11 is a plus.
• 2+ years of hands-on PHP development experience, preferably with Drupal customization, modules, and maintenance.
• 6+ years of development experience (Core area: Backend experience with C#, .NET Core, designing RESTful APIs, and event-driven or service-oriented architectures.) - ideally with startup hustle or scale-up mindset.
• Nice to Have: 2+ years Frontend experience in React, Redux, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Passionate builders and problem-solvers who love to take ownership and thrive in a high-impact environment.
• Experience in leveraging AI/LLMs for test generation, code interpretation, data analysis, faster reviews, content creation, intent detection, and personalized support
• Deep expertise in designing and delivering complex, user-focused web applications.
• Hands-on experience with high-volume systems and large-scale data processing.
• Comfort with architectural design patterns, SOA principles, and modern web services.
• A love for clean, efficient code - with a solid grasp of code structure, functional programming, and maintainability.
• A knack for juggling multiple priorities without compromising quality or deadlines.
• Strong collaboration chops, working across product, data, and business to shape amazing features.
• Clear, effective communication skills and a proactive, team-first attitude.
• BE or MS in Computer Science - or equivalent real-world experience.
