Job summary

Kalman & Company, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to Microsoft development platform projects supporting DoD programs.

You will design secure software using C#, .NET, ASP.NET and Visual Studio, while delivering responsive UIs with JavaScript, EXT JS, HTML5 and CSS3. You will also build secure RESTful APIs, manage SQL Server databases, and ensure RMF and STIGs compliance across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Eligible for a government-issued Secret-level clearance.
• Expert proficiency in C#, .NET, Visual Studio, and Microsoft development tools.
• Strong experience with SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and advanced T-SQL scripting.
• Experience developing software in compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, STIGs, secure coding).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure software solutions using C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, asp.NET and Visual Studio.
• Develop responsive front-end interfaces using JavaScript, EXT JS, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Build secure RESTful APIs, services, and modular components aligned with DoD cybersecurity and architecture standards.
• Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases in controlled environments.
• Develop advanced T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and performance-tuned queries.
• Implement secure database schemas, access controls, auditing, and backup/recovery strategies compliant with DoD requirements.
• Apply DoD Secure Coding Guidelines, STIGs, and RMF controls throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.
• Produce high-quality documentation suitable for configuration management, accreditation packages, and government audits.
• Integrate Kiro AI capabilities into enterprise or mission-support applications.
