Job summary

Google Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Senior Software Engineer to help extend Infra Spanner with large-scale features for distributed databases and storage systems. In this role you will write and test core code, participate in design reviews, review peers, and contribute to documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of C++ programming or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• 5 years designing and developing distributed databases or storage systems.
• Experience with performance analysis, debugging, and optimization.
• Experience with concurrency, multithreading and synchronization.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in or lead design reviews to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code by others and provide feedback on best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation and adapt content to updates.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve.
