Alchemy in San Francisco is hiring a software engineer for the Developer Experience team. You will own projects from problem definition through production and measure outcomes for developer tooling, dashboards, APIs, SDKs, CLI, and MCP servers.

Join a team focused on enterprise controls, developer observability, and growth; work across product, billing, and security with a stack including TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Temporal, Kafka, AWS, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and shipping developer-focused tools and APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and observability.
• Experience with developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, or MCP servers.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from problem definition through design, launch, and on-call.
• Design APIs with versioning, safe defaults, and backward compatibility.
• Build data models/services that scale with traffic and security needs.
• Develop the UI/CLI/SDK surfaces for developers to discover and use.
• Instrument releases with activation and adoption analytics; iterate.
