A leading company in financial services seeks a Senior Software Engineer/Developer to design and develop robust software solutions using Java and AWS in an Agile environment. This position involves creating complex applications and facilitating user testing to ensure seamless implementation. Position Description:
Designs and develops systems and solutions for software development using Java, and Angular.js. Develops Spring RESTful web services applications using Open Source Frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Core, IOC, other core components like oauth2 and security. Develops full stack applications using AWS cloud-platforms such as EC2, Lambda, and AWS messaging capabilities such as SQS and SNS, and AWS NoSql databases including DynamoDB. Works in an Agile environment using Agile Software Development methodology and tools, such as Jira, for developing the applications. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing test strategies, planning and implementing distributed full-stack Web applications using Java and Angular.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing test strategies, planning, and implementing distributed full-stack Web applications using Java and Angular.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) implementing, testing, and debugging highly scaled secure Agile planning platforms services according to Agile methodologies; and analyzing and developing Web applications using modern API-based service architecture using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Framework, Angular, React JS, or PL/SQL Oracle.
DE designing and developing highly scalable microservices for space bookings, support tickets, and rent payments using Java, Spring, Amazon Web Services, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
DE designing and building web applications using AWS services EC2, S3, RDS, Fargate, and Lambda functions.
DE creating Continuously Integrated and Continuously Deployed (CI/CD) pipelines using Git, Maven, and Jenkins; and performing quality gates enforcement based on test code coverage and quality using SonarQube.
