Job summary

Peregrine Technologies is building an AI-enabled data platform for public safety and government customers with high-scale data processing. We are seeking a senior software engineer to join the Foundations team in SF or NY, owning meaningful projects from design to production and improving reliability and latency.

You will work on data pipelines, datastore internals, and authorization layers, collaborating closely with deployment and user teams to ship production-grade software and respond to

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience working on distributed systems or data-intensive services (e.g. data pipelines, relational and search datastores, message queues).
• Experience taking projects from design through production rollout.
• Experience shipping and iterating on production-grade software, professionally and/or in the open-source community.

Responsibilities

• Own well-scoped, meaningful projects that improve reliability and performance of Peregrine's data platform.
• Work on datastores, data pipelines, and authorization/notification layers.
• Collaborate with deployment team and users to iterate and improve the system.
