Job summary

DoubleVerify seeks a senior software engineer to spearhead the seam between data foundation and semantic layer, ensuring reliable data flows into downstream products and workflows.

You will design scalable solutions, architect data endpoints, and implement robust data quality and observability practices across pipelines, taking ownership of complex initiatives spanning data infrastructure and API layers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems that prioritize reliability, scalability and performance.
• Contract‑driven API design and semantic layer experience.
• Hands‑on mastery with datalake/warehouse tech: Parquet, DuckDB, S3, Iceberg, Snowflake.
• Fluency in Python or Go and strong SQL; choose the right tool for the task.
• Comfort using AI as a primary tool and building interfaces for AI systems.
• Experience with monitoring/observability and data quality.
• Familiarity with orchestration/Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead technical execution across data foundation and semantic layer; ensure data flows reliably into downstream products.
• Design and develop scalable solutions to improve functionality, data efficiency and system performance.
• Architect data endpoints using a semantic layer for consumption by UI, CLIs, and AI agents.
• Implement data quality checks and operational practices to speed incident detection.
• Own complex initiatives spanning data infrastructure and API layers.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross‑functional teams to define requirements and deliver reliable data.
