Job summary

Walmart seeks a Software Engineer III to lead design and development of scalable software solutions in collaboration with product, management, and UX teams. You will mentor small engineering groups, drive improvements, and deliver high-quality software supporting Walmart’s operations and customer experience.

The team uses Python, SQL, and ML frameworks to build data-driven solutions, emphasizing rigorous testing, security, and best practices in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; 2 years’ software engineering experience.
• 4 years’ software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, project, business, and UX teams to develop high-level designs for small to medium projects.
• Analyze and troubleshoot production and business issues via root-cause analysis and solution development.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions, write code, and perform unit testing for quality delivery.
• Manage defect tracking, regression testing, and performance troubleshooting to maintain stability.
• Support CI/CD by automating tasks and implementing telemetry features.
• Provide guidance to small engineering teams and ensure coding standards and security policies.
