Attain Talent seeks a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving practical problems and delivering reliable software. You'll contribute across the development lifecycle on AirHub, a modern platform replacing eleven legacy EPA systems, in a small team where engineers contribute across the development lifecycle.

You will build features, connect systems, investigate existing behavior, and help deliver reliable software, with at least an initial focus on helping with some tricky data migration

Qualifications

• Substantial production software experience and delivery across lifecycle.
• Strong API, relational DB, and automated testing skills.
• Practical SQL skills and data flow investigation.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar code and work through ambiguity.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Ownership mindset and willingness to collaborate beyond specialty.

Responsibilities

• Deliver working software from understanding the need through implementation, testing, and release support.
• Build services, APIs, integrations, and application features with teammates.
• Investigate legacy databases and migrations as needed.
• Clarify workflows and business rules with stakeholders.
• Improve reliability with tests and documentation.
• Participate in mob and pair programming and code reviews.
