What you’ll do

• Work on a data intelligence infrastructure team, focused on extracting intelligence from the large volume of data collected over the years serving restaurants worldwide.
• Build and maintain software and tools that enable data scientists, ML engineers, analysts and engineers to extract insights, sell market intelligence to merchants, and make data‑driven decisions for the company.
• Help product teams build real‑time and batch processing pipelines to achieve business requirements.
• Research latest technologies in the open source communities and bring back insights to apply within the team.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, taking initiative to drive results.
• Background in infrastructure or platform development is preferred.
• Enthusiastic about learning new codebases, and making changes in large complex systems safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency in Java or Go programming languages, and experience building high-performance systems.
• Familiarity with Azure and GCP cloud environments, and deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in real estate, food technology, or related industries is a bonus, though not required. A passion for solving complex problems in these sectors is key.

Location & Work Environment

This role is based in our Austin office. All office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $158,000 - $210,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package – you may also be eligible for equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.
