Atoms is seeking an Engineer to design, implement, and optimize backend systems powering mission-critical applications. The role adapts to strengths with focus on infrastructure, platform, and product, delivering robust APIs and developer tools.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ship end-to-end solutions, participate in reviews, and mentor others as you grow into leadership roles. This in-person role offers growth and impact across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• Graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027.
• 3.7 GPA Minimum.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages like Java or Go.
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Do

As an Engineer, you'll design, implement, and optimize systems that power mission-critical applications. Your role will adapt to your strengths and interests, with opportunities to focus on:

Basic Qualifications:

• Graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027
• 3.7 GPA Minimum
• Proficiency in backend programming languages like Java or Go.
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Prior industry experience via internships, co-ops, or other.
