Job summary

TechDigital Group in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Dashboard Build to design, implement, and operate build systems for FedRAMP High/IL5 compliance, focusing on scalability and developer experience.

You will partner with product engineering and SRE to maintain build health, automate pipelines, and reduce technical debt while delivering reliable dashboards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in development, build and release engineering.
• Experience designing modular build systems for scalable infra.
• Proficient with CI/CD tooling and pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell, Groovy, Ruby, or similar.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React toolchains.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and RSpec pipelines.
• Familiarity with containers and cloud platforms (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Linux and open-source software.

Senior Software Engineer, Dashboard Build

As a member of the Dashboard Build team, you will provide logistical support for our cloud development organization, focusing on functionality, simplicity, scalability, reliability, and availability of our build systems. You're driven by a strong desire to improve developer happiness, always keeping an empathetic ear out for developers' day-to-day experience with tools and workflows, while finding ways to improve these. You'll make incremental changes to quickly get a developer unstuck, as well as propose and implement longer term changes that reduce technical debt, accelerate developer productivity, and anticipate future needs. U.S. citizenship and work location requirement

This role supports U.S. federal cloud environments governed by federal customer and contract requirements. To comply with requirements applicable to this role, the successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and must perform work for this role from within the United States.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate build and deploy systems, to meet FedRAMP High and IL5 requirements, with a focus on scalability, availability, product quality, and developer experience
• Translate security and compliance requirements into implementation: access control, audit logging, secret management, vulnerability response, and evidence collection.
• Work closely with product engineering teams to monitor and maintain build health, velocity, and accuracy
• Collaborate with the SRE team to ensure scalability and availability of build systems
• Prevent, predict, and respond to issues, coordinating the triage and remediation efforts across the product teams

You are an ideal candidate if you

• Have 5+ years of relevant experience in development, build, and release engineering
• Have experience with the development of modular build systems and tools for a scalable continuous infrastructure that provides a streamlined developer experience
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, GitHub, Buildkite, CircleCI, and/or RWX
• Experience with distributed version control systems such as Git, GitLab, and/or GitHub
• Experience with the use of containers in a build environment, and tools such as AWS, Artifactory, Docker, and/or Kubernetes
• Experience with Linux and open-source software
• Strong scripting knowledge using Shell, Groovy, Ruby, or similar scripting languages
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React toolchains and pipelines
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and RSpec pipelines

Bonus points for

• Experience with data collection, parsing, and visualization tools such as the Elastic Stack and Grafana
• Experience with FedRAMP Moderate/High, DoD IL4/IL5, FISMA, GovRAMP (formerly StateRAMP), or similar regulated environments
• Experience building or operating software in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or other isolated cloud environments
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, secrets management, service mesh, zero-trust patterns, or compliance automation
