Job summary

Checkr is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Criminal Screenings in San Francisco. You will help evolve the data platform, architect scalable features, and drive initiatives end-to-end while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

You should have strong CS fundamentals, experience with domain modeling and system design, and a proven track record of delivering clear, tested code. This role offers hybrid work and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals, databases, data structures, algorithms.
• Experience with domain modeling, object design, and system architecture.

• Ability to collaborate across teams and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Develop new platform capabilities from design through release.
• Balance speed to market with long-term scalability.
• Partner with Product to define initiatives and roadmaps.

• Provide mentorship to engineers across the organization.
• Contribute to engineering process improvements and reviews.
