About the Role

We’re seeking backend Software Engineers who share a passion for building enterprise-level web services that integrate with cutting-edge machine learning technologies. We're a mission-driven organization collectively challenging the traditional financial lending landscape; and we're seeking like-minded engineers to join our initiative! You will join a team of highly-skilled Software Engineers and Data Scientists, where your contributions in software design and systems development will impact our clients' businesses by +$100M in ROI. This hands-on position offers opportunities to collaborate with technical teams across our organization to deliver features while reinforcing engineering best practices. We are language-agnostic and do not require experience with specific technologies. At Zest AI, we prioritize intuition and seek engineers who can learn quickly, enabling us to adapt to customer requirements and leverage evolving technologies.

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs for B2B SaaS solutions
Develop Python packages and tooling for model deployment and data science workflows
Work with AWS or similar cloud platforms to deploy and scale services
Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to meet business goals

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 4 years of professional experience in back-end or full-stack engineering, developing production code
Proficiency in Python (preferred) or other OOP languages
Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud technologies
Familiarity with CI/CD best practices
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills
Exposure to production environments (bonus if in a B2B SaaS setting)
