Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. This team builds the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify’s product across platforms, balancing product needs with scalable infrastructure.

You will collaborate with product teams to scope projects, optimize for faster feedback, and ship cloud functions and backend services using Kotlin. This fast-growing startup offers a remote team, competitive salaries, and a culture that values autonomy and impact.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate demonstrates systems thinking and end-to-end design.
• Ability to ship quickly with thoughtful tradeoffs and feedback loops.
• Proven collaboration with designers, PMs, and marketers.
• Experience delivering cross-platform SDKs and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects and optimize scope for faster feedback.
• Design efficient abstractions to improve loading and parsing performance.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
