Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a highly capable Software Engineer to support an internet-based social media program in Tampa, FL. You'll help develop tools and applications for content creation, translation workflows, and engagement analytics, while building scalable, secure cloud-based systems.

The role requires 10+ years of software development experience, DoD Secret clearance eligibility, and expertise with Ruby on Rails or Django/Python in Linux/AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coding tools and applications that support content dissemination, translation, approval, and publication processes.
• Develops capabilities to manage metrics data, user comments, feedback, and social media engagement analytics.
• Supports testing activities to verify software performance and compliance with functional requirements.
• Works with developers, data engineers, and data scientists to create web applications for collecting and managing data in support of internet and social media operations.
• Develops web applications using Ruby on Rails or Django/Python on Linux, deployed in AWS environments using MySQL and Redshift databases.
• Participates in Agile project management methodologies across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
